Even the building that houses the museum is historic – and related to Horse Country! The front section of the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum used to be John Lair’s horse stables. Lair, who founded Renfro Valley Entertainment Center in 1939, had his home and stables built here in 1944; today, these winsome structures provide the perfect setting for a Bluegrass music museum.
