Tobymac S New Music Video Was Filmed In A West Virginia Coal Mine

TobyMac. Do you recognize that name? It’s only the stage name of a super famous, billboard-topping, Grammy-Award-Winning Christian singer… who apparently has roots in West Virginia.

Contemporary Christian singer TobyMac is no stranger to West Virginia. He’s played here on numerous occasions, including at the 2019 State Fair of West Virginia…

But now, TobyMac has taken his connection to West Virginia to a deeper level, literally, by recording his latest chart-topping music video right here in the Mountain State… in the belly of the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine.

The video features his new song, called “Promised Land.” Whether he knew it or not, TobyMac has captured some of what makes us tick here in West Virginia in this new song: Hard work. Hard times. Reality checks. Grit. Determination. Brokenness. Perseverance. Hope. Faith.
