New Hampshire shares a border with the Canadian province of Quebec, and nothing translates quite like food. Poutine is the most famously imported dish served in New Hampshire, while tourtiere pie is also popular. Traditional poutine consists of fresh-cut french fries topped with curds and gravy, leading to many variations. Tourtiere pie is loaded with ground beef, pork and potatoes. The Spa Restaurant in West Stewartstown was highly regarded for its poutine. Unfortunately, the restaurant was destroyed by fire in November 2021.
