White Clay Creek State Park is one of Delaware’s most beautiful natural sanctuaries. It’s an escape from the crowded towns and busy streets of New Castle County, and it’s located in Newark, right up near the Maryland and Pennsylvania border. White Clay Creek State Park is home to a network of trails that cross fields, ponds, streams, and patches of forest in the northwestern corner of New Castle County.

The Arc Monument marks the spot where the borders of Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania meet. The shape was designated by William Penn, and the line was surveyed by Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon.
