Spring hasn’t quite arrived in New Mexico; the temperatures and snowfall are still fluctuating between cold and snowy and warm and dry. It’s still a bit chilly in New Mexico this week, so let’s celebrate the last vestiges of winter with some day hikes in an enchanted forest.

The trails range from fairly easy to difficult, depending on your snowshoe experience, the length, and the incline of each trail. Along the way, you’ll find picnic areas, pretty viewpoints, and other interesting sights.

If you can’t bear to leave your fuzzy friend at home, rest assured there are a few dog-friendly trails located in the ski area. Keep in mind that each dog requires a leash so they too can frolic in the snow!
