Editor’s Note: It seems that Mt. Abram no longer offers snow tubing.

There are a lot of great reasons to be in Maine throughout the year. From visiting the coast during the summer to exploring the green trees and high summits….well, just about any time. But, where we really shine is in winter. Between skiing and all the other things that are possible each winter, there’s never a dull moment if you’re the type that looks for adventure. But, no matter what your level of winter exploration desires you’ll love snow tubing in Maine at this spot. It’s pretty awesome and Vacationland is lucky to claim it as its own.

Mt. Abram, in Greenwood, is the longest snow tubing park in the entire state!

The park, which has been around since 1960, offers an impressive 1,325 feet of tubing courses, which means the high flying fun goes on and on.

There are three separate lanes, offering unique riding experiences for kids and adults.

Unlike other parks where the course is primarily straight down, these routes curve making the trip downhill that much more impressive!

And, the best part?

Once you’re at the bottom an easy tow will get you straight back to the top in a short amount of time. More time at the top means more rides for your money!

Mt. Abram gets great reviews for trails being well-maintained, which makes the routes soft and not icy.

The schedule for tubing might change sometimes, but you can safely plan on them being open for use on weekends and holidays, including some nights.
