If you like a side of history to go with your meal, you’ll relish a trip to the Millyard District of Manchester to visit The Foundry. The farm to table restaurant is located in a fascinating little spot.
For 1.5 miles along Commercial Street are impressive brick buildings with large windows, making up the Amoskeag Millyard District.

Industrial Era history buffs will love walking the area and seeing how the 30 or so buildings that made up the Mill have been converted into offices, lofts, tech firms, and art studios. The area also made contributions to Workers’ Rights History.

If you’re a history fiend, the Millyard Museum is a third of a mile walk from the restaurant! Have a few drinks and make an afternoon of it with some friends. Or for younger friends of the past, the SEE Science Center is next door to the Museum.
