Sometimes a drive out to the middle of nowhere is necessary and luckily, there are some extraordinary places that can be found along the way.   1. Moose Hill Farm, Sharon

Victoria/Google Rutland Prison Camp is a 150-acre parcel of land that is part of the greater Rutland State Park. It has experienced a lengthy history as a prison camp in this remote area of Central Massachusetts. Enjoy miles of trails that wind through the forest and abandoned buildings scattered throughout the park.

  1. Becket Land Trust Historic Quarry, Becket
