Considering we live in a state that’s rich with natural hot springs, finding a beautiful place to relax and soak is never all that hard. However, there’s one remote hot spring that you’ll want to be sure to seek out this winter. It’s perfect for warming up your body – even on the most frigid winter days – and the surrounding landscape is simply heavenly! Check it out this season for a winter experience you’re bound to remember.

Located in the super remote landscape of northern Nevada and right along the Oregon border, Bog Hot Springs is an awesome place to visit all year round.

The hot spring water flows into the creek, warming the pools to a temperature of around 105 degrees at the lower pools. The pools located farther north contain higher temperatures which aren’t always soakable. Hot spring enthusiasts especially love Bog Hot Springs because of the rapid water flow through the creek.

Directions: To get to Bog Hot Springs, take I-84 towards Winnemucca before heading north on Highway 95. You’ll turn left onto Highway 140, driving until you reach Denio Junction. From here, turn right on Bog Hot Springs Road. You’ll find the site located just a few miles down.
