Texas is home to several suspension bridges, with the most notable being the Regency and Waco Suspension Bridges. You’ve probably heard of those two before, but did you know there’s another suspension bridge hiding in the W G Jones State Forest? It’s part of a short-and-sweet hike the whole family can enjoy, and you’ll love every step you take.
Located in the W G Jones State Forest near Conroe, Sweetleaf Nature Trail and North Boundary Trail Loop is an easy, 2.3-mile trek that takes you over the river and through the woods for quick adventure suitable for all ages and skill levels.

Ancient tree roots snake across the path, serving as natural footholds that help you manage the gradual, 55-foot elevation gain.
