Leaf peeping season is in full swing, and Missouri boasts an abundance of beautiful spots to admire the changing colors. Whether we feel like watching the colorful rolling landscape pass by on a scenic train ride or we want to hit the highway on a fall foliage drive, we have quite a few unique ways to see Missouri’s fall colors. For one of the most unique ways to view the colorful foliage, stroll across the Galena Y-Bridge.
The Y-Bridge in Galena boasts both colorful views during the autumn and a rich history as one of the few remaining bridges of its kind in the United States.

The bridge earned a spot on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991 due, in large part, to its unique Y shape. The Y shape made it easy for drivers to merge onto the bridge.

Don’t forget your camera or your smartphone when you set off on your stroll. Your best bet is to visit during the peak fall foliage when the surrounding landscape is at its most brilliant.
