North Carolina is a dream for waterfall chasers. With falls all across the state, you don’t have to travel far to find a gorgeous fall (you can also skip the “waterfalls near me in North Carolina” Google search, too!). Travel a mere three miles north of Bryson City and you’ll discover an adventure that leads to a foot bridge that crosses right over (and in front of) an 80-foot waterfall. Let’s take a look at this lovely little waterfall trail in North Carolina:
The Juney Whank Falls Trail is considered an easy trek, although you will be doing a bit of uphill work.

The trails are clearly marked, and you’ll start out on another trail, called the Deep Creek Trail, and then fork off onto Juney Whank Falls. (Don’t worry… we added a map below.)

It’s really quite remarkable that you’ll cross right in front of and over this majestic 80-foot spectacle. But from this photo, looks may be a bit deceiving… you can’t actually reach out and touch the falling water.
