Russell Stover: America’s chocolate of choice, including in West Virginia. It’s been the nation’s candy of choice almost since its very beginning, way back in 1923 when Clara and Russell Stover began making candy in their home kitchen. It didn’t stay a home-kitchen company for very long, though – a year later, the Stovers had opened multiple stores in Denver and the Midwest. By 1934, the couple had added ice cream to their line of products.

Now, with four factories, 19 retail stores, and products in almost every grocery store in America, the Russell Stover name is an American icon.

And although there’s plenty of chocolate to be had, it’s not the only treat you can find. Gourmet caramel apples, build-a-box of chocolates, handmade fudge, ice cream sundaes, gourmet coffee, jellybeans, sugar free candies, discounted candy seconds (“bloopers,” but they still taste just as good!), and even (and perhaps best of all!) free samples.
