There’s nothing like a day outside in New Hampshire and we love that it’s so easy to do. With trails and natural spaces all over the state, getting outside is as easy as literally going outside. We’re always on the lookout for the more unique trails and we recently came across this on one in the Pittsburg area. Leading through some beautiful landscape, hiking this trail is a great way to understand more about nature right here at home.
The Cohos Trail in its entirety is 170 miles leading from the White Mountains all the way to the Canadian border. But, rest assured, we’re not suggesting you do al that! Today we’re just focused on a portion of this route.

The Bog Bridge section of the Cohos Trail is about 4.4 miles and it offers a lovely day.

This portion of the trail is out-and-back so you can actually make it as long or as short as you’d like.

It begins at Route 3 and makes its way through the forest towards the Connecticut River.

There are parts of the trail that follow the river, too. That means views along the way before you even arrive at the big payoff.

This part of the river is rocky, making for some smaller and larger cascades.

While the views are beautiful, remember that there are some slight elevation gains.
