Admittedly, when it’s really cold out, the fireplace and warm blankets you have indoors do look pretty inviting. But there are so many great winter activities in Connecticut that it’d be a shame to stay cooped up all season! One place where you can enjoy all that winter in the Nutmeg State has to offer is Westmoor Park. This fantastic 162-acre park in West Hartford is easily one of the best parks in Connecticut. It makes for a great family activity no matter the season, and hosts year-round educational activities that are an absolute blast.
Westmoor Park is probably best known for their on-site farm. The farm houses various barn animals, such as chickens and sheep, and regularly holds demonstration classes.

The park also hosts plenty of winter classes and events for kids and adults. Snowshoe walks, vacation camp, Winter Outdoor Adventures: just because it’s winter doesn’t mean there aren’t things to enjoy outside!
