It’s no secret that we have a multitude of beautiful places in Nebraska. Heck — just driving along our scenic highways will take you through some amazing land. We’ve got an unfair reputation as a flat, “flyover state,” but if you have ever visited, you know that’s far from the truth. We have plenty of small mountains and buttes that are absolutely stunning. On top of that, our famous prairies are gorgeous as well. One vantage point in Nebraska that will give you some incredible views of the state is the Blackbird Scenic Overlook just off Highway 75.

This is one of the most scenic drives in Nebraska.

lloveslug/Google Local Highway 75 travels alongside the Missouri River and goes all the way from Texas up to the Canadian border. It’s got a ton of history and is associated with both the Oregon Trail and the Lewis and Clark expedition.

The Blackbird Scenic Overlook point is near Macy, Nebraska. It’s just off Highway 75 and there’s about a 200-foot walk to the viewing area.
