Utah is no stranger to natural arches. In fact, there are more than 2,000 natural arches in Arches National Park alone and at least 800 scattered elsewhere around the state. While some of these arches are visited every single day, there are others that are rarely enjoyed. Jewell Tibbets Arch, near Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park, is one of these lesser-known arches in Utah. To reach it, you will have a short trail ahead of you but you’ll enjoy every minute of the journey.
The Jewell Tibbets Arch Trail is one hiking trail in Utah where you can escape from the crowds and the noise at nearby national and state parks. This is a 2-mile loop trail that may just become one of your favorite places in the Beehive State.

You will eventually come to the mesmerizing Hell Roaring Canyon. This canyon is spectacular and the red rocks create quite the picturesque landscape.

Don’t forget to wear adequate shoes on this journey as you will trek across some slick rock. Proper equipment will keep you safe and make the journey just a little easier.

Eventually, you will come to views of the Jewel Tibbets Arch. It may not be the largest arch in this area, but it certainly is beautiful.

The Jewel Tibbets Arch was named after a woman who lived at a ranch near Moab in the 1950s and ’60s. She would visit this natural arch frequently and would often bring ranch guests with her.
